Fans Are Losing It Over The Unhinged 'Accused' Season Finale Featuring A Sex Robot
Fans can't stop talking about the wild Accused season finale featuring a sex robot.
The episode of the Fox series, called "Megan's Story," followed the titular character (played by Sonequa Martin-Green), an ambitious music executive who finds herself in trouble when a futuristic sex robot comes between her and her husband, John (played by Mike Colter).
Artificial intelligence is a major theme in the episode, with Megan working to make the biggest deal of her career, which revolves around using AI to make music with assistance from human musicians, or "prompters."
Megan worries that John, who used to be a musician, but is now a stay-at-home husband eagerly awaiting when he and his wife will have children, is feeling neglected because she is so busy with work. Since her sister works at Humanix, a tech company preparing to embark on a trial period for sex robots, Megan believes this could be the solution to her problems.
For fans of the show, it has brought up a lot of concerns about AI. Many took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on the finale, which aired on Tuesday, December 3.

Another fan posted, "Megan: it's a robot...for intimacy John: for sex? #Accused #AccusedonFOX," along with the gif of a woman waving a red flag.
A third commented, "Anyone watch #Accused ?? The last episode is really what the world is coming to . AI robots taking ppl jobs and having sex with humans."
Others questioned Megan's motives, and called out her sister for agreeing to give her brother-in-law a sex robot.
One X user posted, "How is she jealous of her husband sleeping with the sex robot she gave him? Just crazy. #Accused."
"I know that with AI, this is where the world is going and fast but sex robots felt a bit too much...but more crazy was the fact that someone wouldn't want to have sex with #MikeColter! #accusedonfox," another comment read.
Along with a gif of Cookie from Empire slapping her husband, another fan wrote, "Lila...you should've told your sister no. HELL NO I will not build you a sex robot for your husband. Then smacked her in the back of the head for even suggesting it. #AccusedonFOX #accused."
The ending got even crazier, as John fell for the sex robot, and wanted to leave his wife Megan to be with her. She got jealous, striking him in the head with a bottle of champagne, and killing him. She then used her sister to corrupt the robot's memory file, and insert a video to make it look like she had killed John.
The wild ending had fans bringing Elon Musk's name into it, seeing as it was only a few weeks ago that Kim Kardashian was seen posing alongside one of his $30K robots.
